Our football teams also created history by winning the finals of all the divisions held on 15th and 16th August 2004. I must congratulate our school football teams, the staff members involved for their all out effort and valiant performance.
Assistance to Macfarlane Memorial Church :
Our NSS have adopted Macfarlane Memorial Church as a heritage site and their clearing drive of the compound under the guidance of Mr. Palden Lepcha, Programmer Officer of NSS, is laudable. Our school made a financial contribution of Rs. 50,000 for barricading the entire church compound in order to save the compounfd from vandals and maintain the sanctity of the place. The church compound is full barricaded now. The Macfarlane Memorial Church is a landmark structure in Kalimpong and we feel that we should do everything possible to conserve this heritage structure.
Mid Day Meal :
Mid - Day Meal under SSA programme was started in our Primary Section on and from 8th April 2005. It took us sometime to comprehend and implement the programme, however our mother teacher association (MTA) is very active and helping a lot to carry out the programme.
Foundation Day :
The 119th Foundation Day was observed on 18th April with Thanks giving Service at MacFarlane Memorial Church and thereafter wreath laying ceremony was held at old cemetery of Late Rev. William Macfarlane and other missionary and native teachers who served the school. The same programme was done in the new cemetery also. The day was more meaningful due to the words of God brought by Ms Doroty Wallace who was visiting Kalimpong with her friend.
